The Type of Music I Sing
It is my preference to sing for
ceremonies. My ability to provide the perfect ambiance to a wedding or
funeral is my strength.
I perform jazz, pop, Broadway tunes and classical repertoire, including
Opera, Art Songs and Sacred music. I can sing in a stage-like voice or
in a more mellow jazz voice; full on opera sound or meditative sacred
sound. I enjoy the duets of Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli and have
sung music made popular by them and Josh Groban as well as the classics
by Schubert, Bach and Handel.
I graduated from Dominican University with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal
Performance, where I was trained in the classical style. Since
graduating, I have continued to improve my abilities with voice lessons
and performance training. Voted most popular performer in Sonoma Valley
two years in a row, I am currently the soloist at Trinity Episcopal
Church and the Sonoma Valley Chorale. I have produced many shows in
various venues throughout the North Bay. I have performed, written and
produced seven one-woman shows that featured mostly jazz tunes with
monologues and have produced numerous recitals featuring classical music
combined with Broadway tunes.
